Sleep difficulties are often a symptom of an underlying imbalance. These may be physical (such as menopause or chronic pain), emotional (such as anxiety or depression), or external stressors (such as shift work or family responsibilities).

Your initial consultation will take approximately 90 minutes. During this time, we will review your current sleep patterns, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and stressors. The aim is to identify the potential causes of your sleep disturbance and begin the process of restoring balance.

Before your appointment, you will be asked to complete a sleep diary and a diet diary, which provide a valuable baseline of your current habits.

Depending on your needs, recommendations may include:

  • Behavioural strategies, such as developing a realistic exercise schedule

  • Nutritional or herbal support, if a deficiency or imbalance is identified

The primary goal of the initial consultation is to uncover the root cause of your sleep difficulties and create a tailored plan to support restorative, harmonious sleep.

Review consultations are approximately 30 minutes in length. During these sessions, we will evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies introduced in your initial consultation. Together, we will assess your progress, refine your plan if needed, and continue with successful approaches to further support your sleep and overall wellbeing.
