About Karen
Sleep is the best meditation.
– Dalai Lama
Sleep Scientist and Naturopath
I have worked in Sleep Medicine since the 1990s, with a background as a CPAP Clinical Educator, Sleep Scientist, and Sleep Researcher (Master Sc Med – Sleep). I also bring experience as a qualified Naturopath (B H Sc – Nat), which allows me to offer a wide range of evidence-based therapies to help resolve sleep issues naturally and effectively.
Together, we’ll determine the approach that best suits your needs—one that addresses not just your symptoms, but the root cause of your sleep difficulties.
If you are living with one of the recognised sleep disorders, or you are simply struggling to get the deep, restorative sleep you need, you are not alone—and you are in the right place. I work with both children and adults to uncover and resolve sleep challenges—every person’s journey is unique.
My approach combines the best of scientific evidence-based therapies with natural, restorative care and natural therapies. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)
Light therapy
Herbal medicine
Nutrition and food as medicine
Gentle movement, yoga, and lifestyle guidance
I believe that truly understanding your sleep issue is the first step toward resolving it, and I take the time to listen carefully and develop a personalised plan tailored to you.
With over 20 years of experience in both science and natural medicine, I bring a calm and practical approach to resolving sleep difficulties—and work with you to create lasting change, naturally.
